Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins is an Mexican American sportscaster. She hosts SportsNation and is a SportsCenter anchor. The first time she worked for ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a television reporter. Antonietta was bilingual by her age of nine. The ability that helped her get her first role as an Univision production assistant in Miami. There, she collaborated with producers for national shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Then she was promoted to an reporter at The CBS St. Petersburg affiliate after that. After 2009, the reporter relocated into Rio Grande Valley Texas where she was employed by KNVO TV 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. Covering stories related to drugs and immigration issues from both sides of the Mexico-Texas Border, she served as reporter for news on KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel KNVO TV48 at 5pm, then a news reporter with a news anchor in English at 9 pm and the news anchor was on until 10 pm, and then returned to the Spanish channel. In addition, she was frequently required to act as an anchor for sports and weather. Later, she was anchor and reporter on Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. She was then given more responsibility. She created pieces for Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS as well as the World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. She was born November 22 on the 22nd of October, 1984 in Mexico City. She has an older sister. Her family relocated from Mexico to Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. The couple divorced within a short time and in the year 1995, she got married to a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 due to kidney cancer. On a family vacation in Ohio, younger Collins took a place alongside her elder sister. Antonietta who was in high school with an idea of what she thought her future would be like, visited Mount Union University to see whether the university was suitable for her. The result was that she liked the campus as well as the fact that it offered the major she wanted. When she finished high school, she made the decision to go to the university and major with Media Studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor - was also the director of WRMU (91.1 FM) in which she was a part of. He was the one who boosted her confidence and whose passion for Journalism deeply touched her. She strived to fulfill his expectations, never letting him down.
